Pets in Minot (apartments, pit bulls, moving to)

We are Air Force and moving to Minot this summer, I need to know about dogs on base and off. Is the area dog friendly? Does the base have many rules with dogs in the housing? Any information is welcome.

I know almost nothing about the AFB, but I do know that Minot does not allow any pit bulls within city limits.

The Minot city ordinanace does not allow more than 4 pets per household. Outside the city limit, there is not a limitation. Pit bulls are definitely a no no. Base housing does allow pets, must put up a fence. But right now, there is a 3-6 month waiting list for base housing. Most apartments do not allow pets. I hope this helps you to plan for your move.
