Looking for Small piece of property or city lots in NW ND
I am considering building a small place in western ND for part-time stay in summer and fall, and am looking for a small piece of property or city lots to purchase to build upon. Can anyone help? I would like to purchase something before summer.
I love to pheasant, duck, and goose hunt, and would hope to do some nearby the new place.
Thanks,
Daniel

I grew up in SW ND, a small town called New England.
Areas that you would do well to check into would be the areas around New England, Dickinson, Mott, Hettinger, Belfield, and Bowman. Their are many land owners who post their land or reserve it for specific hunters.
There are outfitters who assist incoming hunters, and most of the small towns and some farmers have housing available for rental during hunting season. Business is good.
Owning a small parcel of land will not entitle you to hunt any posted land, and you would do well to earn the goodwill of local farmers and landowners if you hope to gain access to land to hunt.
Houses in small towns are very affordable.
For information try a google for "Hunting in North Dakota".
There is a shortage of housing in the Willison area do to the oil production there. If you are an investor in developing residential homes, start checking there. And homes in the Bismarck-Mandan area are in short supply, so value is holding there.
Enjoy. Good Luck. LD

When you say Western ND, exactly where do you mean? Southwest, Northwest, central west, on the Montana border, etc.

Thanks for the info. I know I have been a bit vague, but maybe as Lida Deutsch suggests above the New England, Mott area in the SW, and then up near Williams, Mountrail, and Ward counties in the NW.
