Hi
Pembina and Cavalier being a small town....rental apartments/housing can be tough. Both towns are small and as such would not have the large complexes you may be familiar with where you live...but small complexes are avbl and in our area most are managed by rental companies/property management agencies located in Grand Forks.
I dont want to advertise for these folks (against forum rules)...but I will just include a link from one property management company that did list a couple of apartments in Pembina (same complex).
Alerus Financial Property Web :: Available Residential by Region
Now...it is doutbful these apartments or any place will have all what you are looking for....but at least if you maybe contact this company in Grand Forks they can lead you to any other units that are avbl in town. Also please try town hall there in Pembina or Cavalier....these small towns are often quite helpful and can direct you to better sources.
I assuming employment will be with the Border Patrol?
Dan

Found anything yet?? Hope you had luck!
I lived in the area for years! I love Cavalier, a little clicky though, but lots of nice people. Stop in 'Sammys Bar and Lanes', great little old bar!
Housing can be difficult for 'an outsider' to find, word of mouth is your best bet. Real Estate agents are great if you want to buy, but renting can be more of a challenge to find.
Try putting in a small classified add in the Cavalier Chronicle - not expensive. Say what you are looking for and when you need it by. This is how I found my last place, lived there for 3 years and loved it. GREAT landlords!
Cavalier Chronicle: (701) 265-8844 can place your add by phone and it will be in by next week.
OR just get there and rent a hotel room for a few days, find a few locals - at the hotel desk, at the bar, the cafe, your mans coworkers and ask around - in my experience this is the best way to find anything in a small town. SOmeone will know someone who has a place!
GOOD LUCK - Hope you enjoy that part of the state!!
