Red River Zoo is taking exotic pets such as snakes, lizards, turtles, birds & rabbits.

The equine center at NDSU is taking horses...They'd like you to bring feed, & hay if at all possible.

DMF Red River Valley Flood Fund will match the first $25,000 donated.

Go to www.impactgiveback.org & search for DMF.

The money will go to the local Salvation Army, Red Cross, and First Link.

Hope everyone made it through this OK...If it's all right, I think I will " un-stick" this Thread.. and hope it never has to be put up again
I know the media just drops a story like this as soon as something else comes up...and I know that people are still struggling with the aftermath...Not everyone has forgotten you...

You may want to wait until the second crest has gone through, just in case.

Fischer_girl, you had asked on a different thread where to get the "UNITED WE SAND" T-shirts...

http://www.oldlutheran.com/oldlutheran/page.php?page=store&Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=OL&Cate gory_Code=Flood
these are the ones who came up with the idea

and

www.ineedchocolate.com/united-we-sand

and

http://www.cafepress.com/fargoflood09
These only donate 1/3 back, but they have more styles....
United We Sand North Dakota Flood 09
United We Sand Fargo/Moorhead Flood 09
Proud to be a Bag Lady
Thanks to Students, It's in the Bag!
You can also get caps, magnets, buttons/pins, dog t-shirts, boxers, baby bibs, etc with the same sayings. Some items come in different colors.

1/3 - 1/2 the purchase price from any of these places goes to ImpactGiveBack and the money goes to Red Cross, Salvation Army, and FirstLink. Right now, there is a donor matching the first $25,000 given.

Does anyone know if there are any flood related organizations that are collecting donations that are not money donations? For example: kids-adult clothes, toys, blankets and other items? I've been looking for a place like that to donate to but haven't had any luck. Thanks.

I haven't heard of any yet, but only a few homes have been totally flooded. I"d say check with the Salvation Army, Red Cross, or First Link. Maybe the ImpactGiveBack website has a phone #, too. Any of these may have some ideas.

If you do find somewhere, could you post it here, please in case others need the info, too?

Thanks.
