Default oil in ross

What drilling is going on in Ross? We have gotten offers to buy our mineral rights but we would rather lease them. Any information would be appreciated.

DON"T sell them...just lease them...you would be crazey to sell them!!!!
Once you sell them...you are done...whoever wants to buy them have a reason...$$$$$$$$ and you won't get any of the $$$$$$$$ when they drill and hit oil. Only the minerals owners get that...but that won't be you if you don't own the mineral acres anymore. Owning the surface does not give you rights to what is underneath if you don't own what is underneath the land...DO NOT SELL!!!

We don't intend to sell our mineral rights. The question is how to get them leased, get the drilling started, and start collecting the $$$. Do you live near Ross or know of activity there? I realize it is next to Stanley, which has received lots of attention. Thanks for reinforcing our decision to keep ownership. Your feelings are as strong as ours!

5 yrs. ago I was offer a fair amount for my mineral rights south of Ross so I thought something must be up. I still have them & have had another company want to purchase or lease but no $ amount was mentioned.

With oil being down right now I don't think the pressure to offer many $ is on.

I did a search & there is one drilling rig on one of the sections where I have rights.

Does anyone know what the lease rate is for mineral rights land between Newtown & Ross?

How can there be an oil rig on property where you own the rights? Piracy? Seems to me you'd have to give permission before a rig got set up.
