How great is that!!!....
Oh, how I want to be there with you. I've been looking at that region of North Dakota as a nice place to retire for a few years now. As you settle in, and especially after your first winter, I hope you will give us all updates as to how you are doing there. Congratulations!!!!!! You made it.

Is there any retail/service work available in that area?.....We are looking at a property near Dunseith and were curious about that...can't find a link to a local paper to find out

It is nice up there, but what does one do for a living in the Lake Metigoshe area of ND?

Not sure if I can help you about within Dunseith, but in the area near by, there are job openings. Dunseith has Benchmark. They are an electronics company and probably the biggest employer in town. I actually applied there, but was looking for a part time job. They don't do part time jobs!
Bottineau is not far from Dunseith and there is a new motel being built there. Bottineau has a super-walmart and they are looking for new employees 24/7. The Pamida store is becoming a Shopko. Lots of activity going on in Bottineau due to the oil activity close by.

Hope it helps!
