Thank you all - we're on our way!
Well we've got the people we're buying the mobile from heading back to make sure it gets hooked up to everything. Then he's going to come back and fix our "new to us" van (2003 Chrysler mini) and we'll be busy packing, having yard sales, and dump runs.
We've got a huge truck lined up for the end of the month - and we'll be on our way to Medina October 1. All of the kindness and help people on this forum have given convinced us that this is the best possible move. We wamt to live somewhere where "niceness" doesn't translate to "sucker" - I like being nice.
The idea of a clean life, growing as much of our own food as possible, and living a sustainable life, becoming a "locavore" is just fueling our dreams. Right now it's not quite 9 am and I'm hearing big trucks unloading groceries at the store 2 blocks away. If I go outside I can breath their diesel fumes. I'm tired of it!
We're looking forward to making lots of great friends in Medina (and elsewhere) and can't wait to get there.

Hi!
That is very good to hear!
I hope you enjoy Medina!
I may or may not still be here, trying to sell yet.
But in either case, you should really love it here.
All the best!

Afterlight - we've really made some progress around here. The truck comes Monday and then we're loading up and heading out! So excited!!! Hope you'll still be there.

Happy for you. I'm headed the other direction to get my son and his familyl and bring'em back home. Safe journey and make sure to stop at the Flying J's along the route. Good clean restrooms, good food and the best fuel prices around.

Thank you. We'll be sure to do that. This time we really plan to explore our new world. There are so many places in California that we never got to see because there was always too much stuff going on.
Aaaaaahhhhhhhh - life is going to be good.

Dont know when you will get into the Medina-Jamestown area on your trip east....but weather wise we are looking at a wet system for wed night and Thursday with lingering showers and cooler weather for Friday. It has been very warm this month (one of our warmest september's ever) but cooling back to more normal fall values this upcoming week. Forecast high temps mostly 55 to 60 thu-fri with lows around 40. this is the time of year of our usual first good frost.
good luck

We should be pulling into Medina Sunday late afternoon or evening. The temps sound lovely - normal clothes and blankets for night.
Thank you so much for the forcast. I'll print it out and put it in our file!
