Is anyone from Buffalo? We looked it up online and really liked it. I love the feel and life of a smaller city, and loved the fact that it is about 35 minutes to Fargo.
I know how small it is. Would finding somewhere to live out there be difficult? It seems like buying a lot and building a home is how it would have too be done there. But, right now, we need to rent. It is our dream to finally buy or build a home in a small town like Buffalo, but for now, we just need to get there and find something fast.
It looks like we will be coming straight up to Valley City, as it is a bigger city. But, we are very curious if moving to a smaller city like Buffalo is even a possibility?
MyShell,
I grew up in a small town near Buffalo called Enderlin. We were farmers and I loved it. Enderlin's pop is about 2000 and I think that is as small as I'd go. Alot of small communities have really dwindled in the past, Buffalo, Alice, Sheldon, Nome, Fingal, Maple Valley. Schools have had to combine in sports and extra curricular activities.
If I moved back, I might look at living outside some of the bigger towns. Valley City, Lisbon, Wapheton. Enderlin has barely survived and is held together by kids of my year group. 75-83.
Good Luck.
Jon
I was wondering if you ever made it out there? If so Were you able to find a motel? Also I am not having much luck finding info on the internet on Buffalo. I was wondering if you could direct me to some links? I Am from North Dakota and would love to visit. Buffalo is not so far into the state from Minn.
