I know what you mean. I wish all the departments of the State would get together. For instance:
You arrive in a state and you have 30 days to change over license plates and 30 days to change over drivers license, because you are considered to be a Resident. But go get a fishing license and they tell you you are not a resident until you've been there a year. hahaha
In Wyoming, when you go to the DL place to change over your drivers license, they tell you that you are good with your current license until it expires. You think, great! I'll save a little money. Then you find out you can't get a fishing or hunting license until 1 year after you change your drivers license. So you keep your license for 10-11 months, switch it over and realize you can hunt or fish until you've lived here for almost 2 years.
They standardized CDL's for all states. Same test, same requirements, everything is the same. Wonder why they can't do it for all drivers licenses?
You can get an International Drivers License that is good in just about every country you go to, and we can't keep drivers license requirements straight within our country.
