So you're saying you prefer illegal activists (mobsters) over legal ones (politicians)? LOL

One will send you to sleep wit da fishes, one will just tax you to death

While I feel sorry for those who gamble to the exclusion of paying their bills, easily-addicted types know who they are and have to avoid the occasions of sin, as Sister Agnes Patricia used to tell us in the 8th grade.

Gambling (at the casino) is legal. One must not prohibit those who do so in moderation because of the actions of those who do not/cannot exercise control.

I cannot convince myself that table games will worsen the problem of addicted gamblers. I have seen men in a bar bet on whether the next patron to enter will be a man or a woman. Or on which side of the bar a fly will land.

An argument could also be made that the world would be better off without them, yes....especially considering the ridiculous amount of crime that is alcohol-fueled....if there was no such thing as drugs and alcohol, crime would probably drop 95%.

Oh I beg to differ. If we are going that route, we might as well ban love and religion as those two things fuel more outrageous bursts of violence than any other catalyst I've seen.

No. Better to encourage personal responsibility, IMO.

I think it would be nice if people realized that "wasting money" and "boring" are totally subjective. Ah well. Such is life.
