Can you guess the number? And please let's not turn this into another Scranton bashing thread.

It's 535 and does not include city, county or state offices or businesses inside of the Steamtown Mall.

What defines the downtown? and that number isn't surprising for city of roughly 70,000. What is surprising is the number of empty storefronts in the city. Unless there is a specific reason to go downtown, there is no draw otherwise. Shopping is poor at best and sad in so many ways.

That's your opinion. There are lot's of others who do find reason to shop downtown and would rate it as great.

Who would ever rate the downtown shopping as great? Lets be honest here and bring our heads down out of the clouds. There is no shopping in the downtown, sure there a few boutiques left and a gallery or two and one used bookstore, but as far as retail shopping is concerned there is nothing and no reason for people to shop downtown.

Saying that the shopping is great just shows how delusional those that hype the downtown really are.

Christ you can't even buy a good tailored suit downtown anymore.

Whats the break down on law offices and doctors or medical related companies out of that 500+ number?
