Lehighton has a good hospital. Many of my relatives have been treated there. There is also a hospital in Palmerton. The big hospital with the great burn center is Lehigh Valley in Allentown. Depending on where you Carbon County you go, nearby Hazleton in Luzerne County has two hospitals - Hazleton General and St. Joseph's. As far as general practitioners, the best thing to do is once you decide where to move ask the neighbors and people you meet while out and about who they would recommend and why.
