I won't even call that pizza, i have no clue what it is.

Blasphemy!!! Revello's is great pizza. That's the only thing that bugs me about NY transplants is that a lot of them seem to be pizza snobs who think that greasy thin-crust NY-style pizza is better than any other kind of pizza.

My only complaint about Revello's is that they raised their prices, but that pretty much happened with all pizza places with the price of dough going up.

It is a typical NEPA town in the residential part of town, but the Dickson City being referred to in this thread is the retail area on and around Business Rt. 6....its pretty much separate from the rest of Dickson City.

I tried Revello's pizza also after posting on this thread and I must agree with sues1, it's horrible. It just doesn't seem like real pizza to me. The cheese was burnt and there was no flavor to it. This is what I found to be true about most Old Forge pizza. I also tried Maroni's pizza and that was equally bad. Sorry OF pizza lovers, I tried it and I still don't get it. I guess we're so used to what we grew up with, that OF pizza seems foreign to us. It's probably true for you with NY style pizza.

I can't wait to try Revello's. Go Phillies and I agree on most issues and only SHARPLY disagree on a few, so we shall see if this will be one to which we'll agree or disagree upon! Even though I live practically within walking distance of Old Forge I've never eaten at most restaurants along the "strip." I prefer my Pittston-style pizza, thank you very much!

No..I do like NY pizza, but usually just as something different once in a while.

Pizza is one place where we disagree...I love Maroni's too....reminds me of a square version of Andy's Pizza in Peckville, which I grew up eating (Andy's is round with a thicker crust, but the cheese is similar to Maroni's). But its a good thing we all disagree on things like food, otherwise there wouldn't be many choices.

It's not so much as I disagree with him about OF pizza, it comes down to different tastes. He likes one thing and I don't. I tried it and still don't like it. It's not like disagreeing about politics or religion, after all, it's only pizza.

True. But it's very powerful where I come from too. It seems there's a pizza place in every strip mall on Long Island.

And even the worst pizza on long island is better than old forge, right?

Different strokes for different folks as I always say
