Best hot wings?
As long as we're debating the best food in the area, in the pizza thread, what about wings? In my opinion, this area has the best hot wings anywhere, outside of Buffalo. Anytime I've eaten wings out of the area, they were horrible. The best wings in my opinion are from the Windsor Inn in Jermyn. Excellent with fries with gravy and their frosted mugs of beer.

Another place that I found has good wings is the Wildcat in Sturges. I found their wing sauce to taste similar to the Windsor. I haven't found many places in the city of Scranton that have good wings....although I'm sure there are...most of the places you find good wings are in little corner bars. So if anyone knows of good wings in Scranton, particularly in West Side, let me know.
And please...not Kelly's.....I don't know why people rave over their dried-out wings with hardly any sauce on them.

Jim Dandys in clarks summit. The wing it self is amazing. Their suace is ok but combine the two and you have perfect wings!

As long as the wings are nice and crispy I'll eat them, I can't stand rubbery skin on my wings.

Windsor Inn prob. the best. If you're in Honesdale, the Halfway House has good wings. I went to a place years ago in North Scranton called the Donkey Cafe, not sure if it's still open, but they had pretty good wings.

Scranton wings are top notch...I will start with The Donkey it's an oldie but probably #4 in the city. In no order Mickey Gannon's, The Patch(Dunmore), Loading Dock(Dunmore) and The Glass Onion in East Scranton are ridiculously good. The Patch may be my #1 overall, they have about 10 sauces the best being their honey mustard hot followed by their hot, ceasar, garlic parmesean. Try any of these out and you will not be disappointed. Mickey Gannon's is better on nights other than their wing night, Tuesday. But wing night still gets a good crowd if you like to socialize. Also, the Clubhouse and another bar in upper south side are excellent.

My favorite wings are from a place in Daytona Beach FL called the Ocean Deck, and I am not really a wing man, but I think the Windsors Wings are anemic, dry, and chewy. Pehr's Pizza makes good wings, there is actually meat on the bones. I really dislike those shrively pigeon parts.
My acquaintance swears by Cosgrove's Taverns wings - he says their really big and inexpensive.

wings
The Windsor's wings have gone way down hill in recent years, at least their location in Jermyn, where I live. Barrett's in Archbald is far better.
