Starting a new thread so I can find out what kind of damage was the result of Irene. I'm in MD and have property in Hawley. Trees down? Flooding? I assume if you respond, you have power.

I live in Gouldsboro and I can say that this storm was not as punishing as some we have had recently. We did not lose power or cable and the rains were not driven. It is still windy here but the most worrisome is the sheer volume of water we have on the ground. The whole area I am sure is experiencing flooding to some degree from any river or stream. Our back and side yard are ponds. I have not heard anything specific happening near Hawley. Some roads are closed throughout the area and you can find them listed on the Pocono Record site. I still think we are in danger of falling trees due to the pooling water and stream flooding and that will continue for a few days. Hope this helps.

We're not far from Gouldsboro....we're in Greentown. Wondering how we fared there? I've been thinking about all the trees on our property, some close to the house.
