It's on Route 46 near the Gap. Hot Dog Johnny's Buttzville NJ

I still think Coney Island Lunch in Scranton beats Johnny's just on atmosphere alone! One of my best friends opened a store in downtown Scranton and when I go out there to see how she's doing I always have to hit up Coney Island Lunch.

Question about coney island lunch. Because of the name, I wonder do they use Sabretts dogs? Although I love the Sabretts onion sauce, I'm not a big fan of the hot dog. Just wondering before we drove there.

There are actually 2 Coney Island's in Scranton. One on Lackawanna Ave. and one on Cedar across from the Hilton. I can't really tell you which one is better. But if you like Texas weiners, try the Keystone in West Side on Main Ave. I like Nathans myself. They put one in The Steamtown Mall and I love it. I grew up on Nathans as a kid.

Call me strange, but for some odd reason, I seem to like the cheaper hotdogs better. I kind of like A&W's sauce the best. I am alright with Abes's too. My husband prefers Ferris's (? spelling). I have had Yocco's once in Allentown but can not recall if I enjoyed it or not, it was a while ago.

I just want to give Yankee Lunch on Pittston Avenue some love.

Also, there's a place on the way back from NY along 84 that has kick ass dogs. I dont' know exactly where, but it's right at the exit, next to a gas station (Exxon?), shaped like a barrell, you can order at either the window or inside, there are two picnic tables, and about $2 per dog, but oh so worth it.

Best hot dogs? try one at the Purple Pit. The football stadium for East
Stroudsburg. They have the best hot dogs at the football games. Don't know
what brand they were, but they were plump and juicy....gotta go and have
a hot dog. I'm hungry

When I lived in the Wilkes-Barre area, my faves were: Ferris and Abes on Barney St. and the Ranch Wagon on Dallas/Memorial Hwy.

Yeeaars ago as a child, I remember a small hotdog hut on the corner of the hwy at Pocono Downs and that road going up towards Geisinger.
