NJ gas prices are always cheaper, because PA taxes gas to death. (yet our governor is in the back pocket of natural gas drillers and won't tax them). Amazing that you can get cheaper gas in NJ even after they pay someone to pump it for you.

We've been hearing those $5 gas rumors for years now and it never happens. A few years ago the "experts" were predicting $7. I think by the end of summer, gas will go down....because its a presidential election year, for some reason gas prices seem to drop then. I think before the 08 election was the last time we saw gas prices below $3.

PA fuel taxes are just above national average. NJ has abnormally low tax rates compared to anyone. I believe it's second lowest in the nation. Having said that gas taxes are probably the only low taxes in NJ.

Also keep in mind we have a lot more miles of roads to take care of per capita.

As in most other places, we're paying way to much.

$3.59 regular, $3.89 premium in many Scranton area stations.

"Popular" opinion is that it will go to $4 by May and some say another dollar or more this year (yes, $5) . This is only going to get worse. It is tough on everyone in one way or another because of the downstream affect on food, materials, businesses, which drive more price increases.

Oh, and the Northeast has been fortunate that the winter has been mild. Next year might go the other way.

It sounds as if war can break out at any moment. It would be great to think that we could negotiate a peaceful solution - but it doesn’t sound as if it will happen. It is hard to tell exactly how war will affect the price at the fuel pump - but; we know that it will not be a consumer windfall. War with Iran could also get very complicated and quick. If you need fuel oil; it would probably be a good time to ask for a delivery - before the shooting starts.
