bullets don't know woods from squat. go for the orange (hopefully hunters will see it and shoot in another direction).

And stay out of the woods.

I figured the anti-hunters would show up.
+1 to the Pinchot trails in Lackawanna State Forest. It's a nice area to hike.

Anti-Hunters?

Must have me confused with someone else....

I actively hunt and hunt in Lackawanna State Park and many other areas.

Words to the wise, during Turkey and waterfowl seasons hunters are NOT required to wear any orange.

During Turkey they only have to wear it if they are moving, but once they sit down, full camo all the way.

Learn the hunting seasons and where NOT TO BE if you don't want to get shot.

Its pretty simple. Don't assume that you are safe if your hiking near any public lands or in any parks that allow hunting and you are there during hunting season.

Perfect example would be the PA early goose season that opens on September 1st. If your hiking in and around the nothern part of Lackawanna State Park and are using a trail by the waters edge around sunrise or sunset there is a good chance that you might get hit by a stray shotgun round from the waterfowl hunters that are on or near the lake shore waiting for their prey to come in or leave the water....

I'm there every morning during the season hunting from a kayak or shore and I CAN'T SEE YOU and you can't see me....

Forgive me! As an avid hunter myself, I am often the recipient of various opinions on the multi-use of our State Gamelands.

Back on topic, the gamelands do provide a lot of nice hiking opportunities, and ones' chances of actually encountering a hunter are limited, in my own experience.
