I'll have to drop in some time and say hello. I go to King's and am in the neighborhood quite often. Good luck on your business venture. I'm a firm believer that the city is starting to get its act together and recover.

There is another Salvation Army off the highway between Scranton and W/B, I have been told.

Salvation Army on S. Washington is nice. There is one in on Rt. 6 Eynon that is so-so. They employees are not always nice. lol

Salvation Army, Sans Souci Parkway, Wilkes-Barre. Salvation Army, Kidder st., Wilkes-Barre. Volanteers of America Thrift Store, S. Main st. Downtown Wilkes-Barre. Salv. Army Thrift store, Wyoming ave., Exeter. There is also one in Plymouth, but I can't recall the name of the street it's on, but it is off of the Main st (rt. 11). Plus, there are a couple of consignment shops that dot the valley. If you Google Yellow Book, and type in Thrift shops/ Wilkes-Barre, Scranton or Pottsville, you should be able to get detailed information on locations, phone numbers ect. good luck!

I forgot to mention The Garden Drive-In flea market (Rt.11/West Nanticoke?), but I'm not sure what day it is? I think it's Sunday, but don't quote me on that. I'd call them and find out.

New Consignors Welcome
Howdy neighbor, I live only a block and a half from your store, and have been there, and bought a few things at one of your side-walk sales. And I can atest that it is a very nice, quaint store with some neat unique nik-naks. It's nice having a unique buisness like yours in the neighborhood. I hope it is doing well. I will definately be stopping back in the fall and around Christmas time to by some decorations for the holiday season.

The salvation army in Exeter closed over a year ago. Two stores closed (the other was on Rt 309) and merged into a larger store that is on Kidder Street in WB. The other salvation army is on the San Souci in Hanover. Other locations - River St. in Scranton as well as the one on S. Washington St. There is a location in Eynon on route business 6 (this one is small and like another poster said - staff not very friendly). Then further out is a salvation army in Honesdale.

There is a community thrift store in Plymouth that reopened after a fire. Another one that just opened up is in WB on South Main St past the post office.

Consignment shops - there are 3 in Luzerne on Main St all run by the same family. There is also another consignment shop in WB on 309 but they sell only children's clothing and items.

Flea markets - the on at the Garden Drive in on Rt 11 is open on Sundays. There is one in Dickson City at the Circle Drive in that is also open on Sundays. There are a few more flea markets that are open on Sundays on Rt. 11 near Wyoming too.
