Work from home???
Does anyone work from home? If so, what kind of work? I was doing some online typing work but it hasn't amounted to much and it is actually very time consuming for the few $$$ per page that is paid.
I've contemplated babysitting/childcare. My little guy is 3 and I know he would love a playmate for a few hours a day.
Any suggestions?? I have 2 years before he's in kindergarten and I can go back to work even part time.

I do! I do website design from home, fits in my schedule perfectly! There are plenty of websites for mommy telecommuting jobs. Check craigslist too theres always a handful of sahm jobs. Babysitting is always good if you can, quick cash for something you are already doing anyway!

I wish I knew how to do website design. I have some experience with Access database design but it's been a few years since I've even touched it. I loved doing that...it was very interesting work. I'm fairly proficient with a computer so even computer related work would be welcome depending on what it was.
I've seen some of those mommy telecommuting websites and I hesitate because of the "scam" factor. Most of them want your money up front and you don't know what you're getting until you put out the $$$ and by then it's too late.
I applied to ChaCha.com which is a live person assisted search engine that pays you to help people search the internet. A friend of mine did/does it and she's happy with it. Just waiting to hear back from them.

Check with your local school district, possibly for a job as a school Bus Driver or Van Driver. The pay is pretty decent, and many school districts let Mom's bring their younger children on the bus. When your child is in school, you'll have the same schedule as he has.

I thought about that but I'm not really good at driving large vehicles. We have a small pick up truck with a cap, that's it for me. There is a bus company 1 min down the road from me that covers Wallenpaupack schools too. Maybe they need some office help? I could ask.

poconosmama-
Haven't heard back from them yet. I filled out an app a few weeks ago. Then they emailed me that they revised it and I needed to do a new one. Just waiting.
Hat-
Will do... Thanks.

job
I used to always check this site, seems reputable and in the 'telecommute' section there's always new jobs. There's also a list of businesses moms have and it may spark a thought in your head to do something you never thought of! Guess it partially depends on how flexible your schedule is. I'm with kids 24/7 so something like tupperware or avon doesnt work for me with the delivering/parties/etc so I just started on my own. I wasnt concerned about making money, I just wanted to keep my brain going!
