We are a family from NYC.
After staying with our friends in Blakeslee, we liked the Poconos very much. So I am looking into lake homes in the Poconos. From skimming on this board, there seems to be some questionable neighborhoods. So, are homes around these lakes safe for a family who will only use it on the weekends?

Lake Naomi -- the yearly tax varies from 3000 to 7000, how much is the HOA/club due?
Arrowhead Lake? How much is the annual club due?
Stillwater Lake?
Pocono Summit Lake?
Summit Lake?
Pine Tree Lake and Deer Pond?
West Emerald Lake?
Lake Carobeth?

Thanks in advance!

Lk Naomi would be my favorite. I just love it in there.
It is near Blakeslee and probably a better ride for you then going up to Lake Wallenpaupack. ( which is a nice big lake)
Emerald lake is a great location. It is a bit downhill in many locations to the lake, if you don't mind up and down a steep slope.
