York Co., PA is home....was home.....still kinda home....not really....I live here now....well, there is the time I spent/spend in DE.

I don't know where the hell I live!!! I do know where I am now ... the air is clear, the leaves are beautiful, the sky is fantastic, and the glistening water fills my soul. I must be somewhere in the Poconos!! Well, at least that's where my bed is now. Think I need to go use it.

Born in Sullivan County, NY...salad days in Orange County.
People from outside of NYS have a hard time differentiating the state from the city. I once had a job that required me to drive cherry pickers all over the country. On my first trip to Oregon, I stopped in a town named "Sisters". There, I got into a conversation with a waitress. When the talk came around to where I live, she asked me if I knew the Zodiac killer.

Default Capital "D" Capital "B"

I was born and raised in Da Bronx, did 21 years there more or less, spent a semester in London, a few months recovering from an injury in Staten Island, eight years in the upper West Side of Manhattan, and now 27 years in Brooklyn. My connection to NEPA is my wife, who is from W-B. Much of her family remains. We visit frequently and plan to move there in a few years.

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. What a great place it once was to raise a family. Now reside in Glenolden, PA which is a suburb just outside of Philly. Hoping and praying I sell my house soon (just lowered the price) so I can make my move to NEPA.

I was born and raised in Nesquehoning, in the heart of coal country in Carbon County. Stayed there until college, when I travelled up I-81 to Wilkes-Barre to attends King's.
After graduating, it was down the turnpike to Pottstown for a year, then Kutztown for a year because of jobs.
Got married and moved to Bloomsburg because of DH's job. After 2 years there headed south on Route 11 to Danville, where we've been for 10 years.
In just a few short weeks, we'll be pulling up stakes and heading to Lackawanna County - not exactly sure yet; we're still looking for a new home!

So I'm definitely a NEPA lifer!
Cathy

Hey Cathy....does James D. Morrissey still have a quarry in Danville?

I've been up thru all the areas you speak of and Carbon County is fantastic....it's really great seeing all these people on here familiar with these beautiful areas. Yanno, I believe Pa is the best of both worlds...your close to Philly and NYC...2 hour drive from the shore....your 2 - 4 hours from Northern PA and NY State, or Lake Ontario...We've got the 4 seasons which are great, except, I'm not fond of winter....and, there is so much to do here.

I used to work for a large accounting firm from Wilkes-Barre, called, Parente, Randolph, Orlando, Carey and Associates. They were great to work for.

Hugs
Creme

Born and raised here. I am in very northern Northampton County. We have lived on the same street for my entire life.

My DH is a transplant from Jackson, NJ and moved to the Poconos 25 yrs ago because his dad loved skiing so much and wanted to buy a house near Camelback.

Default Hello

Hi,

I consider myself a Rocklander. We had a summerhouse in the NEPA for 20 years. Taxes drove us further north, and although I love the area, I still call Rockland home.
