W-B man allegedly threatened to kill district judge

Quote:
Police allege that during a phone call with a secretary in Roberts' office, Kearney threatened the lives of Roberts and an undercover drug detective.
Funny how that works, isn't it?

Guess there's no waiting around when a precious judge is involved.

Well lookie that and he's white and employed and possibly a community volunteer (Looks like the same man in the photo in this article but don't know for sure - http://theabingtonjournal.com/storie...unshine,141910). Kinda flies in the face of those that think only non-whites or those on welfare or living in section 8 housing can commit such crimes. Shame on The Times Leader for not giving us all of the information we need like where he lives, his occupation/profession, etc.

I wonder if this is the same man who was busted in Bridgewater, NJ for pot back in June: Bridgewater police charge Wilkes-Barre man with having marijuana | NJ.com or the Frank Kearney who was busted as part of the Operation Main Street bust made by the PA Ag's office.

Isn't that something...that someone can do all this volunteer work and yet get into this kind of trouble.
It seems he had such good intentions for Wilkes Barre. Wonder what was behind that phone call.
Why it was made? What brought him to that point?
Ya' can't say the word "kill" to anyone. Like I mentioned in the other thread it is down as then a
"terroristic threat."

Just to be clear, I'm not sure if it's the same man who runs the charity or not.

WNEP says he was upset about 2K in fines issued against him and a court appearance date. His neighbors said they were shocked because he's a nice guy.

Yep, threatening to kill someone whether you mean it or not is a "terroristic threat".

Unless the call was recorded it will be a he said she said situation in court, a good defense attorney will get it tossed. Doubt the secretary's INTERPRETATION of the call will stand up under questioning. UNLESS the call was recorded and Mr Kearny was properly notified of the call being recorded, it will probably get knocked down to harassment...

Not sure what this has to do with recent events on the board though?

From WNEP's report " Police add that Kearney admitted to making the threat against the magistrate in Luzerne County."

Man Locked Up For Threats Against Judge | WNEP.com — Scranton / Wilkes-Barre / Hazleton

The video report that includes interviews with Kearney's neighbors has not been posted online by WNEP.

Well he is an idiot for admitting anything.

Still what does this have to do with recent events on the board?

I found it quite interesting that Kearney could be arrested and charged so darned quickly on a judge's secretary's word, yet Sheena and her family are scared to death even with physical evidence of assault.

I believe that is because it was a court official who was threatened.
