I was just pointing out that people moving from the gloom of the Wyoming Valley to say, Pittsburgh, aren't going to be basking in sunshine.

I agree with you. I just didn't really research the climate before moving because I didn't think being just 2.5 hrs away it would make a huge difference. That, and the fact that family reasons brought me here, so I had to move here no matter what. Now those family reasons are on their way to being squared away. Hopefully the family "reasons" will move back to NJ with me so their health related problems due to this awful climate can improve, and my husband & I can continue to help out.

Just to get back on topic here, many people who believe in spirits, witchcraft, demons etc... believe that they are drawn to dark, gloomy areas. So...

I remember reading about that house. I've always wondered about those reports. I don't know anyone who ever lived or stayed there.

All I know is moving is hard as heck. People don't just up & move, especially if they've bought the house, if something serious isn't going on. I believe the people if they say the house is haunted. Its interesting that the newspaper does a story about it when the people are having trouble selling it due to its history. I doubt that this will make it easier, or maybe it will? There are some occult fanatics out there who just may buy because if its "haunted" history.

I live in Wapwallopen area. I can vouch that there is a different vine about the area. I think everyone that lives here just grows to know the feeling as home. I just recently went on a vacation however and when I came back I got that weird vibe the first few days. There is a lot of super natural stuff in the area from ghost sightings to curses to wicca stuff. A good example would be that I live down the street from a house that's haunted. No one lives there very long and it used to be home to doctor santee. If u want some good reading material look up that guy. He created a devil worshipping cult (not referring to wiccan) and made a deal with the devil himself. Also there is a native American curse on my mother's land. It's supposed to be that your first born son will die an early death. She secretly freaks out about it and even had her one friend put a wiccan counter curse or some such ritual on me. In summary whatever your looking for we pretty much got it!

I've lived by the house on Birch St. I few times I've walked by it and felt uneasy. I heard noises and even screams sometimes.
