NY Style Pizza in Jessup?
I know we have that huge thread but I'm not up for weeding through all the pizza debates. Just trying to find out if there is NYish pizza somewhere in Jessup? Thanks

Why would you want that? Hehe..here come the hijack!
Actually not sure if you would like it, but two nice pizza places come to mind: Colarusos near the bridge and the Library up on the hill. Pretty good stuff, but don't think they are NY style.

Nope, they are NOT New York style -- definitely Old Forge style pizza at those locations.
poconosmama, you should do a search in the Pizza thread, I know people discussed NY style pizza availability in the area on that thread.

I honestly can't think of a NY style pizza in Jessup. But, try Joey's Pizza on Main Street in Peckville, just across the river from Jessup. Very good round NY style pizza.

It depends on what you think NY style pizza is. Believe it or not, Electric City pizza, which in is with subway on n. wash, makes a plain round pizza which is pretty close to the NY pizza I know.

Why? I just don't get it.
Jessup Pizza has decent New York style.
If you want really good Brooklyn pizza, try Granteed's, on Mulberry Street, in Scranton. Another good NY pizza can be had at Buona Pizza, on Lackawanna Avenue, in downtown Scranton. Plenty of Mozzarella just running off the thin, crispy crust.
Personally, I find Colarusso's, in Jessup, to be far more flavorful than a generic, Mozzarella cheese, New York pizza. The way the tang of the cheese plays off that perfectly seasoned sauce..... Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
