Default Today Show and The Office

I was up at the U yesterday and it took me a long time to find parking...... I found out they are taping the Today Show there Friday morning and filming The Office on Friday as well! Should be fun, but unfortunately I am heading down to the World Trade Center for business. Just thought I would let anyone know that is close just in case you have some free time.

I wonder why they are broadcasting from Da U? I would think they should be downtown where the convention is taking place?

Or maybe from Dunder Mifflin's after-work hangout, Poor Richard's Pub?

Where downtown? Poor Richards your joking right? You do know where that is right? Its a pretty seedy place in the southside lanes, draws a rough crowd at night. Doubt it and they cannot film downtown because there is no where to do it. The courthouse is a disaster and the center city looks like Beirut because of it. The mall is empty and at the last cast members meet and greet there they drew in a lack luster crowd. The U has nice buildings and a endless amount of crowd members to draw on. They'll set it up like they are in the city and they'll portray it as Scranton but it will be all the U. They can also control the enviroment and the crowds or anyone for that matter much easier at the U. Don't want any of those malcontents there do we....

I know that about Poor Richard's...I'm just saying that because that's where they supposedly go on the show. I laughed when I heard Poor Richard's on the show....you'd think they would have picked Farley's or Andy Gavin's or something.

OOHH ok well I hear ya on that one. I don't know who did the research for the show but your right on that. Maybe they where trying to use the sunshine motel on cedar but realized that it was too small. I don't know I do not really find that show that funny anyway. I think I have actually only seen half of one episode. Its a shame that they are pushing the U like this but you know they cannot really showcase a half started half finished downtown now can they. This will get spun into some economic windfall for the city but we all know it really won't be. The times only prints half truths half of the time and the other half its just always spin. Poor Richards for some drinks and crack I'll be there around 7.

I was reading the Times this week and it had a map of where the convention events will be, and it's basically all over the downtown including da U. They are setting up a stage in the parking lot at the U. It's the parking lot across from the Loyola Hall of Science and next to the Lackawanna Historical Society building. I think that's where they are holding the Dundler-Mifflin Olympic games.

I'm sure that's where Al will be broadcasting the weather after he flies across the country from being in San Diego this morning. Too bad the convention wasn't last week, with the beautiful weather we had. Tomorrow it's suppose to rain most of the day, starting in the morning.

Actually, Seinfeld was billed as the show about nothing.
