Hello! Thanks for the information!!!
I know Tannersville it's more to a village than to a city, thats why i asked abou the shops and a car rental place.. i'm hoping i can rent a car to go to Philadelphia some day, i did a research on google earth and it says it takes about 2 and a half hour to get there!
Those walmart boots are good enough for the mountain life?? and i didn't understand, Mr Z's is closed this season??? sounds like the best option to buy used equipment!!!
thanks again! you are very kind!!!
see you soon!!! 5 days!!! only 5 days!!!!

F.Franco,
I'm sorry if I confused you. Don't worry Mr Z's is not closed. There used to be a little sports shop next to Mr Z's and I think it is closed down. I will check on it tomorrow and post back to you.
Yes I believe that the boots at walmart will be good for a winter here in Pa. if you are on a close budget.

That Mr Z's yes is open and just waiting for you all to come and shop
If you have a medical problem, if I am not mistaken, they are one of the Mr Z's who
will have someone on duty for small medical problems. They must of opened a office area for that.
I'm not sure how they are working it, but it is a small visit price I think I read.
Just in case any of you come down with something and wonder where to go.
Anyone know, if that has started up as yet.?

LOL yeah, hold the chair back extra long!!
Well I guess I'll love to work as a lift too, and I mean it! If I had enough money, I'd probably even pay for it if I had to! To receive money for doing that is even a lot more fun!

My daughter who snowboards...she taught herself at age 14, so this is her third season. She did ski when she was 3, just turned 3, I took her twice and then my brother went with the kids and I saw him and her going up the lift together, she had only been on the bunny slope with the tow rope...I thought he was crazy, but she made it down just fine. After age 3, she never showed an interest again, until all her friends were going every weekend. She is a dare devil so she picked up fast and can do the rails and jumps. I wish I could watch!
WOW! I don't care how easy the trail is, I just can't imagine a 3 year old girl going down! Sounds crazy for me! She must have some kind of gift

There is so much for them to see and do.
If they get a chance, we are taking them to one of the big, big Malls........
But, to fit it in with all they are doing with work and moving in........before Christmas, will be hard!
Yeah, I agree, before christmas it may be hard... But later on we can go to one of these big, BIG Malls! I hope there will be time before you travel, Mom...

Well, I think I'll work in most of my days off, if that's possible... I don't have much money, and I need to pay it all back to my brother and sister when I return... And I do want to have some money for me and my horse when I return, too... So I guess I'll work as much and as hard as I can, and not traveling and buying things that much... Even so, I'm sure I'll enjoy it very very much, I trully love to work! lol

The tree is very very beautiful!!! Of course, coming from that special farm which was home to 13 trees that are now in the white house!!!!! Besides, the real ones are so much better to look at!!! I thought about taking a pic of mine to show you, but it's not half as beautiful! I've never heard of true trees here in brazil... Your dog is so so cute! Have you already bought his christmas present? lol He has to gain something for being so cute waiting for Santa! lol

The conditions that this occurs in in PA are rare, most of the time when it is bitterly cold (lower than 10 degrees F.) and with a strong wind. It will react with exposed skin first and the extremities. Tips of the nose, tips and lobes of the ears, bare cheeks (the ones on your face). This occurs as the skin gets so cold that the blood is slowed and then stopped from flowing through the veins of that particular area. The skin will get red and numb as the blood slows and then you have to watch for it to get white. That is the time to definately get inside and warm up. During these kind of days you will be asked to put out a frostbite warning sign at your lift. Keep an eye on your guests for white areas on their noses of cheeks and suggest to them to go inside and warm up. As their face is numb they might not know that they are in danger. You will recognize these types of days because it feels like icepicks stabbing your face when the wind blows and it takes your breath away when it hits your lungs. Overall it is quite exhilarating. You will be outside with a scarf or facemask on with goggles covering your eyes. You will rotate with much shorter shifts to warm up more frequently. Hope I didn't scare you just wanted you to be prepared. You'll do fine, everyone else does.
Just remember if you never experienced the cold you would never know when it was hot.?
As for the boots, yes, they are considered a Pac boot. A boot with a rubber sole and a leather or synthetic upper with a removable liner is good. The key is the removable liner made of wool or felt. This is what insulates your foot. You'll what to wear a thin liner sock that will wick the moisture away from your foot with a wool or wool blend sock over it. Remember that you want nothing tight on your foot as this restricts bloodflow. 3 or 4 pairs of socks at once are not good. Remove the liner every night and dry both the liner and boot and if your feet get wet or sweat change your socks during the day.
Good Luck
Thanks Liftieeeee!
You do know how to put a lot of super extra important information in a few lines! OK, so I'll watch closely people and myself looking for frostbite signs! Don't worry, I'm not scared! I feel even more happy, it seems really like an adventure with some important risks and obstacles and that's fun! well, I guess I won't find it THAT fun when I feel "icepicks stabbing your face when the wind blows and it takes your breath away when it hits your lungs"... but right now it does seem like a lot of fun! LOL

"Just remember if you never experienced the cold you would never know when it was hot." Love that too!

The information on the boot is very important too! Just one thing I didn't get... What does "liner" means when you say "remoavable liner"? The word is not in my dictionary (it's not a very good one) and when I tried to found something in the google images, a lot of ships appeared... but I guess the meaning doesn't have anything to do with ships lol

Ise, Tried to include two images of boots. Hope they come through. Sorry about the translation of the liner. A liner is an insulated insert. It goes inside the shell of the boot. Your can take it out to dry. The two images I am going to try to include are of Pac boots. One is from a company called Sorel. It is the one with the leather upper part with the furry collar, the other is the boot sold by Walmart.

Well the pics didn't come through. Have to figure out how to do that.
