Stephen King set the world of clowns back about 50 years when he wrote "It", didn't he? Suddenly, everybody is afraid of them. There's a named phobia for it.

Ok Great you all have the bus information...........
I understand from a French family that came this way that it is an easy "subway ride "to get to the Station in the City.....ANYONE HERE KNOW MORE ON THAT.?
From there your very best bet is to get to the Port of Authority and take the Martz bus.
This is the reason.......
The trains do not come all the way to the Poconos.!!!!! Not yet anyhow ( a promise for many decades, that has not happened)
So if you get on a train........you will wind up only as far as Dover, New Jersey or perhaps Netcong, New Jersey. Then........What???
So it will be best to get your way over to the Authority.....I think there they make it a bit difficult. Without a ticket on you the tickets are sold one flight up from the main floor. Then your bus line, will be one flight down from the main floor there.
If that has not changed. Over the years it didn't.......as far as it has been.
I also think JFK has a shuttle over to the Port of Authority????Anyone know on that??
I usually go out of Allentown, Pa or Newark, NJ, or we have gotten a ride to JFK and so I didn't personally use the public transportation........
Any answers for the girls........? Thanks..................

Home (broken link)
This is the riding information on the horses, there is one other place off of 940 further up. Probably not walkable, but you can do a wave/stop and get off by there most likely. It is directly on 611.

You can catch a shuttle from JFK to port or grand central. If you go to Grand Central you can take Metro North straight up to Port Jervis NY I think it's $16-$17 one way and then catch a ride from there. Maybe someone can pick you up. Good luck!

Do you think so? Poconosmama........
Gosh, its going to be such a long flight. What our French Family did is walk to the Port of Authority from Grand Central.......then......at least the bus will drop them ( if they take the one into Mt Pocono) about 3 miles or so from where they can finally plop down!
From Port Jerivs it would be another 2 hours to get home. Plus, a ride they won't have.
That was great information though........Can they catch the Metro Train from Port Jervis to Boston, or Washington.?
I'm use to New Jersey, and in NJ ,we would go to Metro Park train station off of 287 to go to Washington, or places south.

Well kids, I am up in NY State right now. They just said there might be a snow shower Tuesday night thru Wednesday morning. Wow, it would be the first snow in this local area since last winter.
Once the air get cold enough.....the snow machines will make snow up in the mountains of Camelback.
Sure, if it doesn't come our way.......we just use those machines like fairy dust.
I am so happy we have gotten to answer many of your questions.
It is a bit scarey going far from home to a strange place.
But, like we have all said, we think you'll have a grand time.
Just a wee bit tired upon arrival, I'm sure.......Sleep IN!
Hope all is well your way........I think it will be about 20 degrees here tonight.
Hummmmm and I didn't bring my winter coat.
It should warm up fast though, I am hoping........

Hello MOM!
We're still here! Just didn't have time to stay in the computer this weekend, cause here in Brazil was holiday!!
It's really scary to go to some place we don't know in another country with another language and everythinhg...But I'm sure we chose the best place to go, with nice people!
I was looking for Martz buses, and there are a lot of them, right? Like, to New York they pass each hour, or something like that...I think transportation won't be a problem at all!!
This week, on Wednesday we're going to São Paulo to get our visa!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!
One month and some days, and we're arriving in NY and going to Poconos!!! I just can't wait!!

Wow........glad to hear from you and know everything is ok.
Summering Mom was away in NY State, and attending a soccer game after returning home. FORKS WON!!!! ( that is a town, not a utensil...LOL)
Yes, many Martz buses. However you will have to get to your closest bus stop for them.
Also, remember that the earliest ones are commuters to NY City and are pretty full.
Its almost better to take a later one.........Hey, you all will be sleeping late anyhow, I just know it. LOL
The Pony, it sounds like ,will make the local stops, as long as your along the route in a safe location......they should make a "wave stop" for you.......On or Off.
Gosh, Anyone on here use the Pony? I just have not...........but, it sure looks like
it is the best solution for your group. I have seen it stop at the Mall.
Time is going fast..........Visa's.......then Up, Up and away.
