My husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary next month. Looking for a nice resturant to take him to as a surprise. We will be bringing our 12 year old and our 24 year old. Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe it's me, but a nice restaurant to celebrate a 25th anniversary and a 12 year old seem to be a contradiction. Every memorable meal I ever ate at a fine dinning restaurant would frown at any diner under the age of 18. Why not do a family thing one day then get a sitter and treat yourself.

Any "Fine Dining" establishment I have ever been to goes above and beyond to make a well behaved child and party comfortable. I have never been to a restaurant that frowned upon a guest.
To OP-Have dinner with your loved ones and don't worry about it.
Try the AV in Moosic. Very nice and great food!

LOL. if you only knew me.
Maybe you should concentrate on giving the OP examples of nice restaurants instead of throwing baseless insults.
And no where did OP ask for "fine dining". She asked for nice restaurants.

First; congratulations!

Secondly; have you ever been to the Power House Eatery in White Haven: Powerhouse Eatery I actually have not eaten there for sometime – but I love the atmosphere of old boiler house. Perhaps I just like old things because I'm getting old?

Hope you have a great time where ever you go.

I'd agree and if they aren't going to do it take your business elsewhere. Having said that the keywords there are well behaved, nothing worse that having a bunch of kids running wild while you're trying to have a nice meal so I can uderstand why some of these restaurants don't want them there.

My old GF had daughter and we used to take her just about everywhere. Valentines the one year we got screwed at one restaurant (unrelated to the kid) and went down to Hottles. They tripped over themselves to make us room, they had to dig a table out of the corner.

As far as suggestions go, The Apple Tree on rt. 92 is nice. It's not fine dining by any means but that they have really good food at reasonable prices.

Thank you all, now for decisions. My 12 year old is amazingly well behaved and has better manners than many adults I have met!
