Honestly, I grew up in southern, PA, went to college in central PA and have lived in Ohio and Wisconsin as well. I have never seen more snow than when I lived in northeastern PA back in the 90's. I remember one storm in particular when an inch was forcast and we ended up with 2 feet! In Wisconsin we get many 1-2 inch storms, but almost never get those huge blizzards. I'll admit I do kind of miss them at times

OK, bumping this up again. I'm home with a 'snow day', and just wanted to see how much everyone got in their area. We have 10 inches here in The Hideout. I'm thinking this is going to be a bad winter....

I hope it's not toooooooo bad for our first winter up here, I Love PA!

We have over a foot of snow on the deck. We are in the Pocono Lake area. I'm surprised how fluffy it is this early in the year.

Heard they are making snow at Big Bolder!

The weather forcast also says high 40s to 50s for Wednesday.

I am down in the Reading area and we got some white stuff - but mostly ice. My poor 5 year old can't understand why there is snow on the cars and not on the ground - she's mad - she wants a snow man for Tgiving.....

I moved here in February of 1994 and when we pulled into my Mom's driveway with our U-Haul, I thought I would faint! My Mom had to get a payloader to widen the driveway fro the truck. When you parked your cars in the driveways, you couldn't even see over the sides. It snowed every few days with over a foot each time. School here was closed more than opened in the month of February. The next year wasn't much better. Lots of snow! Yes, Big Boulder is already open, and Summering reports that Camelback is making snow too! Can't really go by the weather...this was supposed to be an inch!

We have about 8 inches just 5 miles from Milford. And the best part is nobody in our house has to go anywhere. Get up, snow blow the driveway and then come in for some nice hot chocolate!!! Took some pictures love the snow scenes. We have 90 acres in back of us and the snow on the pines is just beautiful! Looks like a good winter for skiers and snow sports this year!!! Let it snow!

Default Snow at Summerings......

Hi everybody, looks like I am late for the snowball fight.....darn.
Well, here is some of my snow. Just only about 6 inches here in this lowland area. But, its a heavy snow and the trees were weighed down. The driveway had to be plowed. ILOVEPA, I remember that 1994 storm, I shoveled all that. Plus it snowed every single day that year. Shoveled my heart out!!!
Heres Summerings snow and a Santa we worked on during the storm.....

That was looking down half of the driveway........

The other half going down the drive........

The top, top, of the mountain...........and here is Santa coming soon.
Hand carved by hubby, painted by me.......one pulls logs.

He is made from a cypress knee found down south.........
Well, thats all the snow and Santa news this way.........trying to stay on topic........Snow and Santas are topic right???
