Looking to find some local public small ponds that I could take my oldest son too. Just looking for sunnies, bluegills and maybe the occasional bass for him to hook into. I know lots of people do not like to divulge their spots but we are strictly catch and release. Figure with the new dunklebergers opening its a good time to get him a solid ill set up to use during the last few weeks of summer. Not interested at all in a big brown fish n pay lake setting...that's tourist fishing. Just want to see if anyone has any other spots then what I'm seeing

You might try Hidden Lake:
https://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-...d=0CIMBEPwSMAs It has been a very long time since I fished down there - but it was a nice lake for the kids. Then, going a little farther north; perhaps try Snow Hill Lake:

Of course you can also try the Delaware - but (depending on the age of your son) that might be too risky.

That will show you where there are trout streams - I did not see any lakes mentioned (but I just took a quick look).

Our State also has a lake that is a good hike for fishermen. Deep Lake:
