Sorry. Can't say I ever heard of it. I grew up a few years later during the Family Matters, Full House, and Step by Step evenings of ABC's early-1990s TGIF. I was also a fan of Night Court though.

I remember Perfect Strangers. I loved the Balki character. Did the Steve Urkel thing spin off from that? Oh, yeah, it was the elevator lady's family, right?
Didn't Bronson Pinchot (the actor who played Balki) also play a gay art dealer in Eddie Murphy's "Beverly Hills Cop"? I think I've also seen him in something recently, maybe a guest star on a TV show. I didn't realize he owned property in NEPA.

There's many more celebrities in our midst than you'd be aware of. I recently learned a famous female vocalist lives in Pike County.

And our central PA claim to fame is Davy Jones of the Monkees.

I didn't know that! That's awesome! Let's hop on that "Last Train to Clarksville!" (Or is it Larksville?)

Bronson is an expert on history. If the deed says no structures, then that means no structures. The historical society took liberties it had no business taking. As for the store incident, would you want random people coming up to you while you were shopping you and calling you by the name of the character you played? I think not.

Honestly, I would have no problem with it. If the public's positive reaction to the character allowed me to be able to afford an affluent lifestyle, then I would show my appreciation to the public by accepting the recognition and responding in a civil manner. Celebrites can either embrace their popularity or reject it, and I think the public should respond to those who reject it by not supporting any future projects of theirs.

Pretty much comes with the territory of being in show business. I'm sure Sylvester Stallone hears Rocky Balboa comments all the time, and you don't hear him complaining.

He should just be glad that people actually remember him.
