Damenti's restaurant on 309 between Hazleton and Mountaintop has boocce courts. Not sure if they are open year-round though. Also a few courts at community park in Hazle township near the Laurel mall.

Is this the same sport: Buck Hill Falls - Pocono Lawn Bowling Activities at Buck Hill Falls PA | Poconos Golf Vacation Home Community | Pocono Mountains Real Estate Property | Private Housing Communities? I always heard it referred to as "lawn bowling". I don't know it is open to the public? Buck Hill Falls has had this court ever since I was very young - at least sixty years. Even with the old Inn destroyed; they still maintain this court. They also have tennis courts very close.

Your welcome! But; is that the same as a 'Bocce' court? I never heard that term before. I used to walk past those courts back in the late 1950's when I caddied.

I was going to post the one in Westside, so thank you and yes they are still at McDade.

I've never been there...the reason I posted this requesting information about bocce courts is because my wife and I play bocce on our PS3 and I would love to try the real thing...the only bocce I remember are from my youth growing up in Brooklyn in Sunset Park...they were always in the Italian neighborhoods and there was on (for the rest of the Brooklynites who frequent this board) on 39th street and Ft. Hamilton Parkway under the elevated train tracks...they're now gone but the memories are still fresh in my mind from then...

If I am correct that is why we have one in Westside, I believe that was the old Italian section of Scranton. I am SURE if I am wrong someone will correct me! I have always wanted to play, but have no idea how it is played.
