Take the trip!! Take some pictures and post them here!

Thank you for the good wishes. Samantha Nicole will be born on 12/18 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. (Planned C-Section)

By the way, what part of the southern Poconos are you in?

Usually WNEP.com will post "Holiday Houses" on their website that viewers submit from all over NEPA.

Two have already been mentioned, Nay Aug Park and Berwick displays.

I was hoping someone could post some from the Poconos. I know that they are having a community display somewhere near Bowmanstown - Lehighton, but I can't find info on it.
I am pretty sure the Pocono resorts must have something too, so hopefully people can add to the list.

I have a new display to mention. It is in Lehighton, which I guess is considered southern Poconos, not sure though.
Franklin Festival of Lights, Phifer Ice Dam Park 880 Main Rd., Lehighton. A walk-through display with over 400,000 lights. More info: FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP LIONS COMMUNITY EVENTS (http://www.franklinlions.cpals.com/community.html - broken link)

^^^ That's thisclose to Jim Thorpe. You could make a day out of the two.....Jim Thorpe also has a fascinating model train exhibit at their charming Victorian era train station that's well worth seeing...J-T is a little like being in old (small) Montreal

I do love Jim Thorpe. Have you been on the prison tour?

Err...I think I'll pass on that one. Someone with as many speeding tickets as I have should steer clear of correctional facilities. Besides, I'm certain Bubba would have a field day with someone like me!

Since you asked me the question, I should admit that no, I never have. I think that my tour of Philly's macabre Eastern State's Penitentiary cured me of prison architecture curiosity........arrrghhhh....

I posted the pictures of the New York Tree on the Brazil comes to the Poconos thread...
She is a beauty! The city was looking really good. So much less noise now, not too much honking going on as in years past. The electric buses, make for so much less fumes! The city is aglow with Christmas! I know I have some Hershey ones .........I'll have to find them.
