Nancy-
In your case, yes the Delawre Valley School District has awesome ratings. We live in Shohola about a mile from the Greeley border (Wallenpaupack School District, also has awesome ratings) but my daughter is on the bus for about an hour each way since we are on the opposite end of town from the school.

I would recommend this area but you might want to look closer to the school..like in the Twin Lakes area. You might also want to check out Milford or Dingman area.

Housing is fairly reasonable considering the way the market is nowadays and the mad rush to get out of NJ to move out here where it's more affordable. If you need a good realtor, PM me and I'll send you info on the realtor we used when we bought our house here in PA.

Good luck!!!

Toonamatic is on a distinguished road
We moved to NEPA from KS about 9 months ago. We couldn't afford to live in NJ so NEPA was our only choice. My daughter is in the Del-Val school system and it's quite good academically, but all schools have their problems. I live on the Milford-Dingmans border, commute into NJ daily by taking the Dingmans bridge over to NJ then Rt 560 to US 206 which runs directly into Rt 15. Traffic volume is really dependent on the time of day. I leave really early (4:15 am) and have no problems. Rt. 15 gets very busy through Jefferson after 6 am and volume builds until about 8:30. Before or after that is not much of a problem. On the return trip, volume starts building around 3:30 in Jefferson and then loosens up after Lafayette. Commuting is a drag, no way around it here. If you're near the RTP area, the commuting can easily be as bad (or worse) as on I-40/I-540 (I use to travel there on business often).

Good luck!
