I once saw an example of what Scranton considers art. It was a portrait of Dale Earnhardt Jr. made from caps from Bud Light bottles. Impressive!!!

I would define that as a craft. Art is different.

I would define my post as sarcasm. Actually thinking that anything of cultural value will come out of NEPA is different.

Well Johnny, although I applaud your eager ambition to see the cultural arts thrive in NEPA, comparing the reality of it coming to term based on a half baked cable show is, well, a stretch. I also get the impression you may be rather new to the area. If so, you will quickly realize NEPA is just a shell of what was once a rather nice place. It's now laden with white trash and the influx of minorities from NJ & NY looking to make that government hand out go a little further. By all means, have fun on your quest, but get back to me in a year and let me know how it worked out for you.

Native Scrantonian who moved back here after living twenty years in Los Angeles. I am not ready to throw in the towel on the Scranton story. I will get back to you in a year. Maybe the story will be different.
