Me too, but I think I'm south of most of you guys. I'd really enjoy meeting you folks though.

Well, I've already met you, and if the others are even half as pleasant as you are for the brief 60 seconds we chatted, then it's safe to say I'll be in good company (except for those who have been using my words against me, but I digress. )

Also, as far as location is concerned, there's really no way that somebody won't be inconvenienced. I think the immediate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area would still be the best compromise, as most of you in the Poconos and Northern Tier make monthly pilgrimages here for shopping, dining, and whatnot anyways, but that still leaves our pal Dawne way down in Selinsgrove out of the mix, along with those who live in Northern Wayne County, JimmyLane from Montrose, and our newest member, Chad2002, from Mansfield. Since the core of the population tends to live around our two cities (with more members living in Scranton than in Wilkes-Barre), it would make the most sense to meet in Scranton.
From my recent "census" of NEPA members, it appears as if just about every county here has at least one resident other than Sullivan County (BlackCatPhotography was the only short-lived member I'm aware of from there). There's no "ideal" solution as a result. It would be stupid to have the meeting in Selinsgrove for the sole sake of Dawne while inconveniencing the other 99%, just as it would be stupid to have it in Callicoon, NY for ontheroad whlie inconveniencing 90% (except for newjerseybt and the others who live in the Hawley/Honesdale area).
Scranton, whether we like it or not, is stuck in the middle.

That is such the funny word.........."flat-landers" I forget who gave that name to NJ people. I really, really, lived in the woods, in the mountains of NJ.
I know it because I had to shovel that snow all the way up to the street.
Then make a parking spot up there. Of which some " NYorker" ( LOL , just kidding ...I think) would then take the shoveled spot. Someone would though........dah!
Flat-lander I was not.........but the word is cute anyhow......

Thank you, SWB. Your words are most kind.
Yeah, Summering, Spring would be better for me as well.
At this point, I don't know Scranton at all...yet. After my foray up Rt. 115 on Thursday in the snow, I don't think I'll be making that journey again unless it's a hospital trip...and it will need to be damn necessary!!!!!! LOL! Actually, it could have been worse. We made it. At least it was snow covered for the most part.
Nothin' happenin' weather wise in the Pocono Lake area yet.

Gosh yes, 115 in the higher elevations, would be difficult.
Blakeslee is known to get a ton of snow. It is almost always snowing there.
I am such at the lower base of 115 where it is "flat-land" that I don't have to worry much. Except for the driveway......I almost forgot
Rockky you have to get up to Dickson City in the Spring, it is just such fun. I plan to join that Sam's Club, I hope it is as good as the one in Vestal, NY.
That is just a grand place.
