We were heading out to Tannersville so I drove all the way on 115 and stopped at the Effort House to check out the new Coffee Shop there. We are really enjoying the peanuts and I have tried two of the Coffee flavors I bought. Everything has been excellent. Being that fall is in the air I bought Pumpkin Pie which has the perfect balance. This morning I tried the Maple Bacon, very yummy. Tomorrow I will delve into the Sumatra I bought which looks and smells lovely.

It was overall a very nice experience and we plan to drive out again. We spoke to one of the new owners and they are planning a lot of refurbishing in the coming months. It's nice to see a great historic building being taken under someone's wing with plans of it being restored. Check it out if you are in the area and try some, they have had a family business of coffee roasting for over twenty years.

Thanks for the photos. I love old buildings. That's a really nice floor in the coffee shop. I haven't seen an old fashioned transom window in a while.

And they roast coffee! In the '90s, I lived near a market which roast beans. The smell of beans roasting is intoxicating. They also had a pastry display next to the coffee counter. That was cruel.

I hope they do well. It sounds as though they offer a superior product, and they're trying to save a historically significant building.
