What's that church/school on Jackson St. bet. S.Lincoln and S. Sumner?
On the Westside of Scranton, I've been looking at maps around a house for sale on S. Lincoln Ave off Jackson St and saw a huge church/school (?) and can't identify it on the web. What is it?I can't visit anytime soon, and I'm curious. Can anyone help? Also, what are good shopping points in the area?
Anything else of note there?
 Thank you!

I believe that church is ST. Michael's Catholic church. Forum member conorsdad could tell you for sure. The Mall at Steamtown is not too far from West Side. It's a pretty decent sized mall.

Isn't St. Patrick's in Center City on Wyoming and Linden? Not too sure myself.

That's St. Peter's. It's entirely possible to navigate an out-of-towner through the city using only one of three things exclusively as landmarks: bars, churches, and funeral homes.

That's St. Patrick's Church, and right next door is All Saints Academy, the local Catholic elementary school.
As far as shopping, there is a bunch of small shops and restaurants just a few blocks away on Main Ave.

Conorsdad, why was I thinking St. Michaels? Is that nearby in the same area?

St. Michaels is the smaller church about a block up Jackson St from St. Pats....I think St Michaels is at Jackson and Garfield?
