Do you really think a lack of casinos is going to make them better parents?

I think that it would help. I liked it better when we had to travel to Atlantic City. they got the crime and the evils that came with gambling. For the gamblers in our area it was only a weekend pastime back then. Many did not like to take the trip all the way down to Atlantic City.

I am still peeved that our Governor just forced this on us. We voted it down two times - so much for the voters have a say!

Of course there will always be bad parents. But ease and availability of gambling does not help.

Another reason there isn't a ski resort in Mt. Pocono is because of the distance....most traveler's spend 1 - 1 1/2 hours to get up here and with Shawnee and Camelback the closest ones they are not going to drive up to Mt. Pocono....besides as stated previously there isn't high enough terrrain up there to warrant one....
