i heard about a possible skatepark starting up in honesdale ..any info on this//anything to keep the kids busy is a good idea!!

Didn't hear any news. There is plenty of room at the High school which would also serve
well for competitive events. I am thinking you also mean skateboard?

Nothing much going on here except the "make work" bridge project.

Late last summer, I donated money that was going towards a skatepark in Honesdale. The donation jar was in the bank. I asked the teller about it, and she heard that "they" (not the bank) were raising money to build the park, and "they" planned to built it right next door to where the swimming pool is. So it's all hearsay, but I think it's a great idea, I know my son would love it!

One problem is that the "hearsay" money may develop legs of its own.. if just hearsay.

The second problem is that the pool area is outside of town on a busy main road with no sidewalks. It is not safe to travel for a kid and a bike. The main park located by the courthouse would be better as it is more centrally located and safer to access by bicycle IMO.
