Smile Updated Photo Tour List

Since it has come to the attention of many folks that my photo tour list has not been updated in ages, here is a more representative list as of January 2008. I know I may have left some tours out, so please let me know where I did in a reply, and I'll see if I can get them added in! P.S. otr or another good pal of mine, if you could somehow replace the tour list in the "Photo Tour" announcement with THIS list, that would be greatly appreciated.

Paul aka "TIK"... Tour Index King -

Happy Birthday & Happy New Year! Since I was away... I missed all the important holidays!

Thank you for your index. Can that be a sticky for newcomers to find easily? Just wondering outloud. You've been busy, ol' man... I hope you're getting out in our northeastern "heatwave" & having far too much fun. I'll need a few days to catch up on all the goings-on.

I'll see you in NEPA in May... niece's college graduation. You & I are goin' to Blue Bell for a banana split & then to Starbucks... If I don't show up at Starbucks at least once every 24-hrs... they dispatch emergency personnel to my home. Don't want to frighten the poor lads. Oh, yeah... & I've got to try that Wegman's buffalo blue pizza... That's what vacations are for, yeah?

See you soon. Hope everything is great, or better than great... VV

Hello, my third adopted "Auntie." There's actually already a list similar to this in an "announcement" at the very top of the NEPA sub-forum main page, but it was very outdated and was missing practically half of the tours on this list. That's why I subtly hinted for a moderator to swap this list with the one currently in that announcement to keep it as current as possible.

"Blue Bell?" Blasphemy! How can anyone forget good 'ole Blue Ribbon? LOL! I still haven't decided if I like their ice cream or Hillside Dairy's ice cream in the Back Mountain best. I've also heard that Manning's in Scranton is good too, but I've never had the pleasure of putting my tongue to a good workout on one of their farm fresh cones. I don't drink coffee, but I'll sit with a bottled water or something if you need a caffeine fix at Starbucks! LOL!

I'm happy to hear you'll be coming to visit in the warmer months. If your timing is correct you might be just in time for the annual West Pittston Cherry Blossom Festival in May on the riverfront.

Happy Belated New Year to you as well, and thanks for the belated birthday well-wishes. I still can't believe I'm finally 21 and haven't gone out to drink even once yet! LOL! I suppose I'm just too much of an innocent goody two-shoes (as my nose grows longer and longer like Pinnochio! LOL!)

See, I was away for so long... I forgot how to use the forum. My bad...

Ah, well, when I was a kid, we occasionally walked to Purvin Dairy in W-B. Not sure it exists anymore? I don't even remember the name of the street... Dana St. was it? I haven't had the pleasure of visiting any other area dairies. I must visit them all... that's 1/2 the fun.

No worries. I come equipped. Have beans will travel.

I still remember the cherry blossoms around the river before the Market St. Bridge. Yes, I'm happy to go anywhere in warm weather. I'm like a cat... where there's heat, there am I. Well, except I'm not rolled in a ball sleeping in a chair. I do purr & occasionally hiss, however... scratch? Only when Starbucks runs out of French roast.

Thank you. Ah, well, I never drank much either. I'm not even a social drinker, more like a holiday drinker. Although, the holidays just passed & I forgot to have a drink. Oh, well, I have to wait until next year! I've decided that when I'm 80, I'm gonna take up some serious drinkin'... I'll probably start watching TV then, too. Oh, yeah, I'm wild like that...

Have a great weekend... VV

Default Hamlin photos missing

Hey Paul.
Haven't been hanging around for a while and decided to take a mental vacation to Wayne County. Hamlin is missing. Is this on purpose or mistake?
Did I miss something?
Lynn

Hi Lynn. Hamlin is indeed there. The tour was taken by member Greentown. Expect to see Waymart eventually as well to help round out the last major "town" in Wayne County.

I'm glad you enjoyed the tours. Trust me though---the odds of getting me to post my ugly scrawny white mug onto this forum (especially after the intimidation issues my family ran into in 2007 as a result of this forum) are about as likely as President Bush winning "Best President in the History of the Universe" Award.

Paul, you might want to consider taking some shots in downtown Jessup. Not a big area by any means, but recently restored with new sidewalks and streetlights, and a look at what could be done in any of the local boroughs in Lackawanna.
