you are so right. I remember when I was a little kid I got some good advice from my uncle and it stuck with me my whole life, he said " the worst thing in the world is to get up every morning with a grudge to go to work" So I did what I wanted to do ( law enforcement) and just retired, and was always happy, it was never like a job to me and was glad I followed what I always wanted to do

I'm a television producer in NYC and if I could find a way to transition my skills to the Poconos, I would move there in a minute.

Any ideas anyone?

You might want to get in contact with member "ScrantonVideoProductions," who runs his own advertising/broadcast firm based out of Scranton. I don't know if he'd have a need right now for someone with your qualifications on his staff, but he probably has connections to industry insiders in the region who might be able to keep their ears open.

Short of that our local stations are WNEP-TV (ABC), WBRE-TV (NBC), WYOU-TV (CBS), WVIA-TV (PBS), FOX56-TV (FOX), MyNetwork, and a few others I believe.

Best of luck!

We own a small pest control business here on long island. I work out of my home office wise, but also spend a lot of time at the yard.

My dh (we used to run the business together for 14 years until the stress got to him) works for a major landscape supply company in Southampton.

I am also a mummy and found that it was best to relocate the office home so I could be there and at also at work. Our boys are 8 & 9.

it works for us.

Polaris is on a distinguished road
Just retired in January from the Federal Government. Trying to get used to retirement. Hate to say it but most of us at my job hated it. I will never work for anyone again. If I need to work I will start my own business. But right now I am going to stay home and enjoy my house and see what its like to be just a plain stay at home housewife. After almost 40 years I deserve it!
