My sis is turning 21 soon and I want to find a great club to take her to celebrate. I am not familiar w/ the club scene out here. I would like a club that plays hip/hop and has a college aged crowd. any suggestions

I'm going to assume you live within a reasonable drive of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, as this is where the core of nightlife is in the region.

I'm personally not much of a "clubber," and the only club I've been to is Twist near Wilkes-Barre. It is LGBT-friendly, but I found the crowd there to be a little too "touchy, feely" for my tastes, as no sooner did one guy introduce himself to me did he try to get his hands down my waistband. To be fair he was visibly intoxicated, and other patrons might not have been this "bold."

I've always wanted to hit up Tink's in Scranton. That place usually attracts a younger demographic, as does The Woodlands near Wilkes-Barre. Flashbacks in Downtown Scranton attracts an all-ages crowd. I'm more of a dancer than a drinker myself.

I'd probably actually recommend you take her either to Tink's or Flashbacks because the surrounding Downtown Scranton neighborhood is legendary for bar-hopping with The Bog, Banshee, Whistle's, Farley's, Molly Brannigan's, Rocky's, Martini, etc. all within a few blocks of one another so if you find that either night club isn't up to your tastes, you have many more options nearby whereas going to The Woodlands leaves you isolated if you want to leave.

There's a new LGBT-friendly establishment in Pittston called "Club 112" that I've been meaning to check out, but I think it's a bar moreso than a night club, as is the Twelve Penny Saloon in Moosic.

I just turned 21 myself and enjoyed a quiet night out at Mohegan Sun Casino with friends and family, who chipped in $50 for me to gamble for my birthday. (even though I lost it all in roughly a half-hour).

Ok I am not 21 anymore but would love to go dancing! They are talking about the new club at the Mount Airy Casino called I think "Gypsies"??? There is also a club at Shadowbrook Resort here in Tunkhannock called "Vibrations" on Fri. and Sat. nights.
We haven't been there yet but I would love to go!
