Ryan Leckey is the most energetic, most enthusiastic guy I know and newswatch 16 couldn't have picked a better man for the job. He is the reason why so many viewers continue to watch wnep. Ryan makes waking up before the sun so much easier. Maybe a few things he says here and there are wrong, but what other reporter do you know that is so focused on his job and yet still makes time for all of his family and friends. If you ask me, Ryan deserves so much credit. And who are you to tell everyone what you should say and what you shouldn't? I think the reporters know what is neccesary. Ryan is the best thing that ever happened to NEPA and that is why I voted for him.

I also voted for Tom Williams, Joe Snedeker, Tom Clark, and Jon Meyer.

I never understood why people get so wrapped up in the local news reporters. The ones who call talkback 16 and complain about things the reporters say or what they wear, etc etc. Who cares? As long as they're reporting the news, I couldn't care less if its Kurt Aaron, Mike Lewis, Jim Coles, Joe Zone, or Santa Claus.

Even worse is when people see the local news personalities out and about and act like they just saw a major celebrity.

My brother is a news anchor in Wilmington, NC. It's so funny when we visit and go out for dinner, people point and whisper at/about him! I get a bit ruffled that I can't enjoy my brothers company without all the onlookers, but my brother just laughs it off and says it's part of the job. If it doesn't bother him, then it's fine with me!

Cathy

I saw Joe Zone standing in line at the Moosic Long John Silver's when I was 7. I thought it was the coolest thing. Ah, the innocence of youth.....

I bumped into WNEP personalities all the time at Lowe's in W-B Twp. I also had a five-minute conversation with Rocky & Sue from KRZ on a few occasions. I miss seeing all of the local "celebrities" at the W-B Twp. store. Now at the Edwardsville all I get are crackwh*res and wanna-be gangsta thugs running amok in the parking lot after dark, as I just saw the other evening when three police cars stormed the parking lot to handcuff one of these thugs while I was trying to affix new signage to our tow-behind trailers.
