Hi all,

I am arranging a bachelor party for a friend in the East Stroudsburg area. There are plenty of outdoor activities for us during the day, but I am having trouble locating nightlife spots for the evening activities.

Are there any places in the vicinity (within 30-45 minutes drive) that are worthwhile? Looking for someone with young people, a DJ, single girls...something similar to a NYC bar or club. Not expecting the same thing as New York, but definitely looking to avoid quiet sports bars with a couple of locals watching sports on the TVs and sipping their beers.

Any ideas are very welcome. Thank you!

the only places you find the type of ambiance your looking for is Allentown or Bethlehem....that's as close to NYC your gonna get....remember this is the Poconos not the Village....also what do you consider "evening activities"?? Based on that if you can expand on your definition of "evening activities" you might get better responses/suggestions....

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply. I am referring to bars that have a loud/youthful/full ambiance, as opposed to "bar and grills" that cater to families, sports bars that largely focus on finger foods and a sit-down experience, etc.

I suppose it would be easier to find this sort of thing if it was college time, but everyone is home for the summer at this point I imagine.

I PM'd you a suggestion for your gang.

If you are looking for non-pole climbers - it's a bit of a drive but the Woodlands or Mohegan Sun Casino in Wilkes-Barre have nightclubs. Mohegan has a casino/nightclub in Mt Pocono as well.

If you are playing odds on the babes ---> Choose the Woodlands - 3 different bars offer 3 different categories of
women to satisfy most men's desires.

Had a family reunion in WB in 2001...

All of we out of Staters coming back stayed at The Woodlands...

Draketrutta speaks with straight tongue...

There was truly something for everyone there...
My daughter had just turned 21 and she and her cousins were partying in a different bar than us...saved both of us a lot of embarrassment...

As I recall there was a Batchelor Party going on one of the nights we were there.
