Looking for a rental between North Scranton & downtown Wilkes Barre. My husband is working in N Scranton & I am working in downtown Wilkes Barre. An apartment would be fine just want to be in a quiet area. My budget is 700.00 and would consider 800.00 if utilities are included. My husband is a retired vet. I looked on craigs list and did not find anything yet.
Thanks for any advise.

Do you need public transportation to either or will you drive one/two cars? Do you prefer rural or in town?

If you do have a car, try driving some neighborhoods in towns that fall roughly in the range you seek. Do you have any in mind? Among them are Old Forge, Duryea, Moosic, (maybe stretch to others like Avoca, Taylor, Ransom, etc.) but try the obvious ones first, based on your preference to be centrally located and needed transportation.

You will see signs on houses...and better...you'll see the houses and the towns/neighborhoods immediately. It may take a little time but it's better if you can do it. It may be no more difficult than waiting for an ad, calling, then going to see something you don't like.

Not everyone advertises on Craigslist...in fact many many people don't. In NEPA, some folks even still use the want ads in newspapers

Thank you Jimazee that is great advise & I was actually wondering if people had signs on available rentals rather then advertising online. Btw we both have vehicles to drive and just want a quiet place rural or town.
