Communities in Pike & Wayne
Hello all,
As some of you may know, my husband and I are actively looking for a community in Pike or Wayne County, near I84. We have already visited Sky View Lake Estates (1/2 acre properties), Sugar Hill Estates (1 acre properties), Tanglewood North, and Tink Wig. Can anyone suggest any other communities in that vicinity that we might like. Lots of ammenities are not a necessity. We're really looking for the peace, quiet and view. Tried to get into Pocono Springs Estates, but it's gated and they wouldn't let us in to look around. Any thoughts on that community? Also, it seems have to find specific info on the internet for certain specific communities. For instance, I'm trying to research Sugar Hill Estates. We've visited; it's nice; but cannot find anything out about the HOA. Thanks for any help/info!

PA Property
Good morning;
While doing a search for a client, I came across your post. I am a Realor here in PA and have lived here for almost 20 years. I raised my family in the Lake Ariel area, south of Lake Wallenpaupack and am presently building a home in Newfoundland in Pike county.
Sugar Hill Estates is a quiet community with many parcels that back state land. The only ammenity is road maintenance, so a low dues fee- about $200. Another community is LAke in the Clouds, which is off of 447, between Newfoundland and Canadensis. Quiet and ungated. Panther Lake is another.Moderator cut: Realtor soliciting business

Thanks for your reply. Maybe you noticed that the date of my original post was 11/14/06. Happy to report that we purchased land in Sugar Hill Estates and are about to break ground on a new home. Our lot does happen to back up to state land and I see that as quite a bonus! Newfoundland seems to me to be a nice town with everything one could need.

Well, if anyone else is interested, Conashaugh Lakes, Birchwood Lakes, and Hemlock Farms are all located just off route 739 and are fairly close to I-84. Hemlock is the closest...the gate is only a mile or so from the Exit 34
Congratulations on your home purchase.
