You're right about that.
What was the name of the band with something Pennsylvanians? Come on Polka fans. I have had some of the funnest times at Polish Weddings. Come to think about probably all weddings.

Some of my fondest memories as a child were coming to Pennsylvania for a good old fashioned polish party where the 'one man band' was always hired. All kinds of good polish food too! He was great, that one man band. Good times...good times! My Grandpa's 80th Birthday, 85th, 90th...and a few others.

That's what I've been trying to tell everybody. Don't call that crap pizza. Call it something else. Jersey and New York have some of the best pizzerias in the country. Old Forge pizza is embraced by the locals here for some reason that I haven't figured out yet.

Ok, you ALL know how I feel about Old Forge pizza.
That said...I'm guessing they love it because they were raised on it...just like we love NY pizza or NJ pizza, you just tend to love whatever you were raised with and hate anything else.
I'm trying for the life of me to understand it.
Especially when people say things like.."I love the Waymart Hotel pizza, it has that cheese that sticks to the roof of your mouth and your teeth!"
Now who on God's green earth would want pizza cheese stuck to their teeth??????

New York pizza is what I love. The Old Forge pizza is ok, it is sorta like homemade style.
When I make pizza at home, it tastes like Old Forge pizza but I still prefer the NY pizza from a pizzeria right from NY! I mean, my pizza is great but I wish I could make it the way the good old New York way It must be in the water, hee hee!

Maybe it's (well past) time for all this pizza foolishness to end. By now it's clear (to the point of wondering about folks' mental condition) that certain forumers are trenchantly anti Old-Forge, but cannot exercise minimal self-control about condemning it repeatedly (instead of just noting one time that they don't care for it) for whatever reason (& moving along) then pushing the point, as though everyone who does enjoy it is an idiot. For certain of these few, not only do they have to be absolutely right, but they insist that the other guy be absolutley wrong, too. Absurd. If there aren't better ways of approaching this theme, surely there are better things to discuss.
Let's get past this. Improve the tone/ the dialogue as though adults are involved......

For those of us who repeatedly voice our dislike of Old Forge Pizza, much to other's chagrin.....we are voicing our dislike of the PIZZA. No one is calling anyone an idiot.
This individual above is attacking more than just the PIZZA.
I have never personally attacked a person for their taste in pizza.
I agree WasPA...improve the tone and the dialog. Advice that is good for EVERYONE.

The Pizza War Poll
Why not put it to a poll, and winner take all.
Two choices, Old Forge and Ny Style.
No Chicago sorry.

We never said people who eat Old Forge pizza are idiots. We just can't understand how people could actually eat it and call it real pizza. That's all. I'm sure that are many smart and upstanding people that eat OF pizza, I just question their taste in food.

I went to a very well known pizzeria in Old Forge, because a friend was going on and on about how good it was. So another friend and i decided to take a ride over and get some. Honestly, i could of gotten better pizza in the convenient store. It was so bad, the crust was something i never seen in my life, the sauce was just as bad and i think, but not sure it had american cheese mixed in with it. Now the one friend i went with to get the pizza is born and bred Scranton, and she even said it was horrible. I don't think people who like Old Forge are idiots, they just don't know good pizza at all. It's just the way it is.
