Old Forge Pizza in Hamlin!!!
There is certainly no shortage of Pizza Places in Hamlin...well now I see a new one is coming advertising Old Forge style pizza!! It is in the Vonderhey Plaza, right on the outskirts of Hamlin, approaching Mt. Cobb.
I will break all rules by never trying Old Forge Pizza again and report back when they are open...I'll give them a week to get their pizza perfected...

Ummm, we tried Old Forge Pizza in Old Forge and we just weren't impressed with it. Sorry, but I still think New York pizza is the best and then Chicago style pizza 2nd.

I'm right there with you honey! BUT, since it is coming to my home town, and I don't have to drive to Old Forge for lousy pizza, I'll give it a try.

Agreed about NY style being more enjoyable, but the two styles are really impossible to compare. I'll be interested to hear your review, I LOVE PA! I'm an anti-onion fanatic, so let me know if there are a bunch of onions in their sauce.

Where's the plaza? Is it just outside of hamlin in that dip down? I know there isnt much in there. Or is it where that poor little ice cream place was on the corner last year and just didnt get going?
I cant say I'll try it, but I'm glad to see business moving in

Yes, jsut outside of Hamlin, going towards Mt. Cobb. There is the florist building and a strip of stores. It is past Shaffers Hardware.
Now...what ice cream place are you talking about...because I'm the QUEEN of ice cream and I don't know which one you're talking about. There seems to be long lines at any of the ice cream places that I know of in Hamlin during the summer.
Onions in the sauce..I think I can tolerate that...I'll definitely give a report...maybe if I tell them I'm reporting back to City Data they will make me an extra good 'TRAY' .

right past where the dance studio is on the right side is a little plaza. I think there's a nail place and a taxes place. Keatings ice cream I think it was called was there last summer. Overpriced and no advertising so I'm guessing they won't be back.
I'd really like to see a good old fashioned hot dog stand come to town- not the little trucks but a place where you can order a bunch to take home or eat at the picnic tables
